I just got my new bass drum and middle tom rack, so now I got 2 kick drums instead of one. 
Been wanting on that for a while now, and I finally just went for it and got the bass drum. It sounds so much better than a single bass drum with a dbl-pedal. Only mistake I made was ordering a drum made out of birch, when the rest of the kit is maple. But I'm suspecting it's going to bring a welcome new sound out of the acoustic kit! Not sure yet if I'm using it for the main or off-foot placement yet; need to set it up properly and get a good look and feel for the new drum. But I was very excited about that anyways

Now I just need to take a few pics of it after it's rigged up! (w/roto-toms too, etc) (random side-rant. I was disappointed that PDP drums streamlined their X7 kits. It used to be that the different series of drums could be upgraded from a standard 5-pc kit to a 7 or 8, which is what I did some years back. But now that X7 is streamlined, it drops the price, but drops the over-all quality of their kits

Ever on the quest for good local musicians and guys to play with. Ran up against the old problem of styles again. Yet another thrash style guitarist. I want to play a different style than blast-as-fast-as-you-can style on the drums. Not what I like to play. Don't mind listening to it, just not my style to play to.
Some decent shows coming up in the near future with some local bands. Looking forward to going to those.
