Hells Yeah!! w00t!!1
The jam session with the local dudes that play metal around here (that are even worth a damn playing with) came over yesterday. I was somewhat nervous since these guys can actually play music(!) on their guitars.
But everything went great yesterday, and they came back over today to jam again. I'm pretty sure that a project is set in stone, as one of them was saying that he was optimistic about forming a band. And to boot, we're jamming again tomorrow!
It's taking a while to get used to their more thrash metal-y style. I'm more groove and rhythm based in my playing, so not so frantic as those thrash drummers. But our types of music are gelling together to forge a new type of weird amalgam of influences, from Death to Doom to Thrash to Groove...It's gonna have it all. My hope is that we take over the county first, then spread out like a virus that can't be stopped! Mwahahaha!!!!
In other news, I'm doing great as of late in regards to my personal life. Got a lot of things straightened out that I needed to get taken care of (like my substance intake and lifestyle). Now that those are mostly in check, I feel like things are going my way for a bit, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it while I can.
