Apparently a Satanic Ninja stole my laptop this morning.
It was lying right on my stomach, closed but in sleep mode, not off. I was at a friend's house, me and him and another friend. I trust them both implicitly and know they didn't hide it or something that harsh. I end up staying awake, surfing SG and the net until 6am, then I finally hit the hay as the sun was coming up. Then I wake up later on (Maybe 10:30) and there's nothing left but the cord plugged into the wall, the door locked, no signs of entry, (this is not a very big apt) and the laptop nowhere to be found -anywhere-
Right now at same friend's house using their computer. This is a lame-ass day for me. It was still a really nice MacBook that I would record/edit videos with, had a huge amount of personal information on, my whole library of music that is only maybe 2/3 backed up. And a shit-ton of pictures that were in digital form only and I'll never have any more
Pics of family, friends, funny misc, etc.
The more serious note is that I kept alot of personal information stored in certain places...If they find it, they may possibly have access to my school FAFSA pin (not good, in fact I'ma request a change after this blog), possibly social, possibly address, phone numbers.....way too much that it pisses me the fuck off
The only silver lining is that there's a password set when restarted or turned off. Hopefully they won't leave it in sleep mode at all, and just turn the thing off after a short period of time, and then get locked out by login pw.
Now I'ma have to try to scrape enough money to gut the old pc tower I have with the black friday sales, and have a friend of mine who's has an IT degree will help me rebuild just the inside (motherboard, video card, etc)
Things have been getting worse and worse for me lately. I'm fighting a DUI case, battling some of my own inner demons, and now my laptop stolen. What a shitty run of it the past 3-6 months. Here's to hoping things get better. And I know I can say that I never wish random harm against anyone, and don't deserve this 'karma' or what you wish to call it. I long string of unfortunate events that make my personal state poorer and poorer.
Oh well, I'll keep on keepin' on.
