Oh for fucks sake.
so, you plan a party. A fantastic jew party. A friend says "Well, lets just do it at my house and you can cook here and I'll invite my jewish co-worker"
"Awesome!" you say.
So you plan for the party on the 30th. And you invite people. And you buy potatoes. Fuckloads of potatoes. You even figure out how to make some vegan latkes since her co-worker is vegan.
And someone else emails you saying they are having a channukah party. They even offer to let you merge the parties. But your friends says her coworker just wants to hang at her place. Ok. I mean, its not like it was HIS party but, ok. Sure, No need to change plans so late in the game.
And you call her up 6 hours before the party to make sure that co-worker will have enough stuff to eat since we Jews aren't known for our vegan cooking and you want to plan ahead.
She's busy. You leave a message.
And an email comes an hour later saying "(name of co-worker) doesn't feel well so we are going to postpone the party."
So, in a panic, you call up the host of the other party, let him know you are coming and will come early to help him cook if he'll just let you move your party there.
And fuck if I'm going to postpone channukah.
So you go to the party and have a grand ol time.
And today you check your email to read "hope the jew party was fun. I had way too
much work drama today...ended up coming home, getting
drunk and going to see the Hogs at Ego's with Scott.
And unexpectedly met one of my MySpace friends live in
person there......weird.
anyway, see you tomorrow at Headhunters - should be
there sometime around 11 or 12."
And you resist emailing her saying "whatever. If you're there, you're there".
You cancel a party, last minute. A party we'd been planning for over a month now. And then you email me to tell me you just went out instead?
Oh fuck no.
