It is blog #7 in Factstravaganza aka weird tidbits of random, trivial knowledge that I happen to know, which make me go "wait...how and why do I know that?"

3.) Ancient Mesopotamian soldiers were paid with wooden coins. (So basically one upon a time wooden nickles WERE worth something?)
4.) Rabbits are sexually stimulated by the scent of talcum powder. (Ummm really? Why *do* I know this one?)
5.) George Washington did not actually ever wear wooden dentures, most of his dentures would have been made of elephant tusk or the like; his horse however did have wooden dentures.
6.) During the early part of her career, chef Julia Child kept her kitchen strictly kosher.
7.) The factory where the Model T Ford was produced had no restroom facilities.
8.) American inventor Eli Whitney once tipped a bartender the modern equivalent of $10,000 for a glass of water.
9.) Among the primitive paintings at Lascaux Cave, archaeologists have identified a series of marks believed to be a precurser to the game of tic-tac-toe.
10.) Belle's Palsy is a degeneration of the 7th cranial nerve, generally caused by an injury of some sort. It can be permanent in some rare cases however it usually becomes less and less prevalent and is fully healed. Belle's palsy tends to become permanent in people with weakened or compromised immune systems, so HIV and AIDS patients if inflicted with Belle's palsy will tend to have that one side of their face remain paralyzed.
