LOL I don't know how I get into such weird adventures every day. I went to CL online this morning looking for any dyke events in the city to catch during my "big day off" and found a woman who desperately needed a cosmetics model today from 3-4. The model must show off MAC cosmetics and I think the purpose of this is so that woman can get hired to work for MAC or something. I immediately sent her a pic saying "I don't know if i'm the type of girl you're looking for, but hereyago" and so she says she wants to use me and will pay me $50 just to sit there and let her put makeup on me! What the??? This is so much better than hostessing at my crappy-ass job. It would take me like 2 days to make the money i'm about to make in an hour. Whoo hoo!
I don't know why I am starting to get fascinated with modeling for things lately...I think it's because my whole life i've had modeling agencies or other companies want to use me for commercials or ads and my parents never let me do it because they were kind of like Claudia's parents when it came to that sort of thing. And they never let me take pride in how I looked, either, because they said people that take pride in how they look are shallow, so you should always value being a good person instead. I guess this didn't help when I went to this Aryan high school where everybody was a Nazi and the pretty girls were girls that looked like Barbies...the boys always made fun of me and I begged several boys to take me to prom; they ALL turned me down! Up until recently, i've been very insecure about my looks. Since I met the local photographer and Spooky emailed me, I have an urge to go through with the modeling i've always wanted to do but have been prevented from by either my parents or my own insecurities. I mean, i'm not going to quit my day job or anything, but I think it would be fun to do a little modeling for once. And I don't think my parents are right and that feeling comfortable with how you look is a bad thing...I think it's only bad if you consider yourself better than others or if it's all you prize about yourself. Then it would be quite easy to transform into a manipulative narcissist. Yes, I think i'm going to put my parents and their chastising aside, because both of them are insecure people anyway.
Shit, i'll be running late...time to speedily get ready to the wonderful adventure soundtrack of Flogging Molly!

Oh yeah, what's happened to Claudia? She hasn't been on in a while...
