Noting your vintage British motorcycle mention, my fomrer addiction was to British four-wheeled beasts. Two Triumphs back in my college days, a GT6 and then a TR7 I inherited from my mother. Thanks to my GT6 (MKIII) and her's (Plus), I met my wife. Thankfully, we both recovered form our respective addictions and we are still together today.

I used to work at a major studio in nyc and we did all of our own repair. I got stuck fixing headphones mostly, but participated in fixing quite a few amps as well. My boss was siiiiiiick. He was the kind of guy who just makes stuff out of parts. I will prolly get into some paia kits this summer cuz they look like fun.
