Nearly done with the pain in the ass project. I've sent the specs off to other manufacturers to get quotes, so I can give them to the guy when he asks me to make more. I wanted to just say no, but even if he's crazy and impossible to work with, I still understand that he just cares deeply about his project, and I get that, and I feel that too... I just can't do it anymore. We're a small hand-bindery, a small press, based on the premise that we just do what the hell we want to do, when we want to, how we want to... doing big projects for other people just kinda isn't our thing. So I'll give him the quote, and he'll see not only what our work is really worth, but also be able, should he want to pay that kind of money, to get more things made.
Also, we threw some red One-Shot sign paint all over some books -- I wasn't too sure about it at first, and they took almost 3 days to dry -- and they look freaking awesome. Total fake blood b-movie splatter.
Me and the hot intern are gonna start a band. We've been talking about it, all joking and kidding, but we're gonna do it. Electronic noise, guitars, big beats and gang vocals. First practice is Wednesday. We're called Bearkake. We were just gonna make shirts and say that there was an actual band, but we want there to be an actual band, so we're gonna do it.
