jamba juice is the shit there used to be one on near all the spots i hung out in when i lived in chicago. it looked out of place as shit but it was always packed!
being newish or having moved definitely compounds shit,..it always gets better though so it's just something that you deal with when you move i guess. i just moved back home a couple years ago from chicago to finish school and most of my old friends are either dead, in jail, married, with kids or both, or moved. so i feel ya there too. i'm kinda diggin my new friends though, you friends that are such from the past aren't always the best people to be with because when you're younger or have changed the growth kind of interferes and maybe they're not the best people for you anymore, but see, when you move and stuff you get nice new shiney ones that you pick in adulthood! it just takes a while, bah, and my best friend anthony lives in new jersey...that's one friend i wish i could take with me wherever i moved, but it makes the friendship all the sweeter, i think.

I love Bossa Nova. Yes, I am way into Joao Gilberto, as well as Luis Bonfa, Walter Wanderly, Ellis Regina, Sylvia Telles, etc., pretty much anything from the 50s and 60s. And I dig on Tropicalia mostly Os Mutantes, but others as well. I have to say that I am not quite as into Bebel Gilberto (I think she is Joao's daughter, but her mother was someone other than Astrud). I've heard that remix album played at work. There are a few tracks that I liked, but I guess that when it comes to bossa nova, I am a bit of a purist.
But I do like Princess Superstar. I turned a bunch of people at work onto her. I saw her play about 6 or 7 years ago when she still had a band behind her. It was really fun even though there were only about 15 people in the club, and I think less than half of the crowd had ever even heard her before.

OH that little puppy reminds me of Pixie when she was a baby. I'm to get a male soon (a black one). I wanted a black one before the fawn but when I saw my lil' one I had to have her. Beware of the snoring that happens when you have one. She snors louder then me. Pugs are great.
