I'm out celebrating Jay_Blank birthday at thei karaoke place. I have my camera to take pictures. I got a coouple of great shots of Jay and his friends. I step outside to check on my car and a guy that was in the bar asked me who I was shooting for. I had the confused look on my face and said I'm shooting for myself, it's my friends birthday and I was capturing the moment. He asked if I would take a picture of him and his friends. I said sure no problem.
The first picture he was smiling but his friends had the serious look. He turns to them and jokingly says you models with that pose. I said lets take another. This time they were all smiling a pretty decent shot. Actully he liked the shot and he asked me if I had a business card. I told him I didnt have and he said he didnt bring his either.
I grab some song tickets and handed him the ticket and a pen. He wrote down his email and I told him I'll have the pictures to him in the morning.
So I processed the pictures and start writing up the email. I check the domain out and realize that its a magazine. A magazine for the metropolitian professional. I see the directory and I have to do a double take. The person who I took a picture of at Jay_Blank's celebration is the publisher of the magazine and he said that he liked the way the picture came out.
This might lead to me doing event photography. I just sent him the pictures. I hope he gives me feedback tomorrow.
