Still not feeling the effects of my supposed disease.
I'm quietly hopeful that I've shaken it off without suffering the major symptoms. I'm even thinking about going out for a few beers tonight - I'll stick to bottles to ensure there's no risk of spreading the infection to anyone.
Went to see Sin City. Fucking tops. Best film I've seen in a while. I haven't read the Sin City graphic novels but I'm thinking I might buy them when I get home to see how close they got. It can be a little disjointed at times and the voiceovers are a little cheesy - but I think that will become half its charm. The women in the movie were stunning - especially the gorgeous Jessica Alba and the delectable Rosario Dawson. Rodriguez did a good job - good to see him make adult-oriented movies again.
My only complaint about the whole experience was the number of kids I saw in the cinema. I don't know if I like the R rating. I think I actually prefer the 18 certificate that we have back home. At least it keeps the really young kids out of the cinema. Now I saw some pretty violent shit when I was hitting my teens but it was kept from me before then.
I'll get off my soapbox now.
Found out that one of my friends might get to come over on business before I go home. Hopefully we'll get to spend a night or two on the town in San Francisco. It depends - I was supposed to be flying down to Los Angeles the weekend he'll be here. I'm sure I can alter my plans. In saying that, I'll see him once I get back home (a whole week later).
Anyway - should be back at work next week which will be good - keep me from getting bored.
