I'm absolutely ecstatic at the moment.
Scotland beat France yesterday in the Euro 2008 qualifiers.
That's lowly Scotland (not been to a major tournament since 1998) beating France (World Cup Runners-Up).
The pub I watched the game in went absolutely wild the moment Caldwell hit that ball into the net. And then when the final whistle blew - I doubt there was a man/woman/child in Scotland that wasn't jumping with joy.
We beat France!!!!! Now we need to make sure we don't fuck things up when we travel to Kiev to face Ukraine.
It was a good day out yesterday. Me and my friends walked the first stage of the West Highland Way in reverse (we walked from Drymen to Milngavie) - it was about 12 miles I think. My quads were killing me by the time I reached Milngavie.
After the game we were supposed to be going to my friends for some late night drinking celebrations but I had to cut the night short as my legs seized up again. They're still a bit tender this morning.
On a different note - work still sucks big time. I don't seem to be getting any chance to settle on any one task/project. I'm getting a bit tired of being the emergency band aid for projects in trouble.
But it pays the bills and there's not a lot of other opportunities to do what I do in Scotland so I need to just accept the crap and hope that some good shit passes my way sometime.
