The work on the ute is going slower than I'd hoped, mainly due to difficulty sourcing a bench seat...without that, none of the interior can really go ahead. Hopefully I'll find one at the Tbar swap meet this weekned.
he's booked in to have the suspension re-done next week...I'd wanted sooner but that's the first day they could manage.
I think I just have to accept that work on her is going to have to go at it's own pace. I did spend 6 hours cleaning/polishing the chrome on the front end today...kinda meditative really.

I'm just getting started on some of the work on my car today (first day of my hols). I had thought about doing the suspension myself, but decided to get a pro to do it because it's going to be lowered and I really want to make sure it's done properly and legally. I've known a few guys who set their own up themselves and didn't end up with as safe a job as it should have been. I'm sure I could probably do it, but with the safety of my family in mind, any of the work that involves such a vital part of the car's mechanicals is something that I want peace-of-mind over.
It's running a 179 red motor...not interested in going to V6 - the straight reds are good engines and I like what they look like, especially in old Holdens with detailed engine bays - so that's the direction I'll be heading.
I'm looking at building a rod in the next few years though and that's the car I'll be dropping a more powerful motor in.
You were right too...the rims are Dragway 5spokes (new design). I looked for AmRacing Torque Thrusts originally but to fit them I was going to have to do a lot of work to the car that I couldn't afford (upgraded brakes/hubs), possibly tubbed (as the TTs only start at 15s which may not have fit under the car without rubbing). Dragways were a safe bet and they could be fitted to the car's exact measurements by Dragway themselves so I went with them for now. that might change somewhere down the track...who knows?!

finally got my neck done..........
went to polymorph and was happy with service.........
on the way out I saw the SG logo on someones car, put a smile on my face anyhow......then again at bondi I saw a girl walking around wearing a SG singlet.........
anyway, piercing done.......tatt's to follow in a few weeks.......

went to Polymorph today and got a price and talked to one of the piercer's there about getting the back of my neck pierced. Had a good chat and he made me feel relaxed, so some time this week I will head back there and get it done. Will post a pic once it's done.

i would recomend both industrial and polymorph for surface piercings. both studios have very clever piercers who know their shit.
surface piercings seem to be hit and miss. some of them stay in for a while, but some can get rejected quite quickly leaving you with not very nice scarring.

first up happy new year to the SG crew!
this year for me will entail:
*start up a retouching studio
*get my PT certificate
*more piercings, more tatts
*being alot more self sufficient and doing what I want not what others expect of me all the frigin time!
