put hi test gas in the tank, take it for a 10-20 minute ride on the highway at 55 mph or so. then before you get there, stop somewhere and see if you are smoking while idling, if not, then just let it idle at the emissions place

what you need to do is go to the local head shop and buy the biggest most obnoxious cigar you can find and start puffing away on it when its close to your turn, and if they say they see smoke from your car just say "what are you stupid?! its my fine cigar i'm smoking, what's this you're first day?" and they'll be embarrased and just let you go on through.
