Dude, Yesterday I opened the hood of my truck and picked up the wire for the O2 sensor where it goes over the valve cover and rearanged it a lil bit and when I was done the thing started running smooth again. It's been like a year or so that it's been running really weird. I tried muckin' around with the sensor a while back because I figured that it had to be the issue and didn't have any success. Maybe I jumbled something else like maybe a ground wire to something else or something, but regardless, my truck's finally running smooth again. Bonus.

It was a big worry for me because it's time to get it smogged again and I was sure it wouldn't pass with the way it was running. It was running well enough to drive and was even doing better on gas since it was leaning the engine out not richening it so I didn't see too much need to fuck around with it but now that it's fixed it's much nicer to drive. And it'll be able to be smogged.

I was gonna just buy a new one, but now that I don't have to take the engine apart I'll just postpone buying a new one. Which is good because I like driving my truck since it looks like such a pile of shit. It's the vehicle that, in a parking lot full of other cars and trucks, is always ignored. I really like that in a car.

I suspected that it was running the way it was because I just run pure water for the coolant which had rusted a small hole through the head right along the head gasket and that I was gonna have to resurface the head and do a head job. Nice to see that the issue was much smaller than I originaly figured.
