Damn, I hope The Vandals Winter Formal isn't sold out. Ticketmaster isn't selling tickets right now. We'll see if I can buy `em at the door when I get there. Gonna head down in a little bit. I'm pumped! I need a new Vandals hoodie. I can't find mine. I think my brother took it out of my truck when he was using it and put it in the Supercedes, which got towed. I got it at last years Winter Formal after going through hell to get there. I was really upset when I saw it missing from where I kept it in my truck. I do hope I cant get down there and get another one.
I'm sure I'll update this in a few hours when I either go to the show or get turned away at the door.
Oh in other news, I went to Kohls to pick up a toaster oven for work. I needed something to cook fish with so I don't havve to keep paying $50 for lunch and diner every day. While there I saw what are probably the most awesome strip club pants I've ever seen. They're jogging pants that feel sooooo soft. I wish I could find some flanel pajama pants that don't look totally gay. No way in hell would I go into public with fuckin' spongebob all over my pants. Especially not to the nudie bar. Why the hell doesn't anyone sell plain ol' black ones with no fly in the front? Pisses me off. I'm liable to have to make them myself. Oh, and they're all fucking enormous, like meant for people that are 9' tall and 4' wide. Don't smaller people sleep too? Maybe they all just sell out really fast.
Edit: The Vandlas Christmas Extravaganza was a smashing success. The emo band that opened for them sucked. I hate whiny little shits and that's what emo bands are all about. But once The Vandals got onstage everyone was having a ball and there was a ton of energy in the place. It was a great show.
If you've never seen The Vandals live you don't know what you're missing. They're one of the most awesome bands to see live there are. In fact I'd probably say they're the second best band to see live behind Fishbone.
I finally got a new Vandals hoodie, this time the christmas one. I don't think you can get that anyplace but at the show there, but I could be wrong. In a fit of festiveness that I haven't had this whole season, which was brought on by the festiveness of The Vandals, I also got my nieces some Vandals girly Ts. I wanted to get them thongs, I thought that'd be funny to get my neices panties and say "hey, they were $5". I have 3 neices, Brandy is 14 (but growing VERY fast and could pass for 18) , Becky is 17, and Jonvieve is 19. They're right at the age now when it'd be both shocking and funny. They didn't have any thongs at the merch booth though. What sucks is I didn't have enough cash to get the hoodie and 3 shirts so I only got two of them shirts haha. I gave them to Becky and Brandi, since Joni doesn't even live here really, she's mostly off with her boyfriend. This is probably the most mellow and relaxed christmas I've had since living in this place. It's nice. I almost forgot what it's like to continue life as normal during this time.
