God damn it I'm pissed. I seriously wanted some sashimi tonight so I headed down to the Albertsons by my work here to get a fresh swordfish filet. When I got there the fish was on trays that were on a cart and the dude was bagging everything up. I asked him if he had a swordfish fillet and he said no. I was sad. Really sad. But oh well, with a lil wasabi and some soy sauce salmon would do. I asked him if he could bag me up a thing of salmon. He said no, that he's closed now. Fuckin' union laborers, lemme tell ya. I hate them with a passion. I hate union laborers with the same hatred that a black guy living in Watts hates me.

Before my search for sashimi I embarked on a search for a Sports Challet to get a sleeping bag. Last November I got one to go camping. I used to keep it in my truck with me all the time along with a tent so that at any time if someone said "dude, let's go camp in the desert n shoot guns" I'd already be packed up n ready to go and could leave straight from work. The one I got was one with a Victorinox (or maybe just the swiss army logo) branding that was rated for 0deg. That thing worked really good. I got in it with my clothes on in my room under slightly warm temperatures and within about two minutes I was sweating like crazy. The real nice part about it was that it let virtually no air breath over my body while I slept. This greatly reduces the amount of moisture that my pores release in a night. After a few times of sleeping in the sleeping bag when we'd go to Vegas or somewhere and sleep in hotels I realized just how awesome that thing is to keep you from having hangovers. Every time I'd sleep in it I wouldn't get hung over at all the next day.

Last march when my brother Tim was staying on the boat I let him use it. It was starting to warm up at that time so a sleeping bag rated to zero degrees wasn't really necessary for me so I never did buy a new one. When I gave the boat to Mineuxs boyfriend I left the sleeping bag there so he'd have something. One thing about that which was kind of funny was when I gave him the boat I gave him a total complete solution. That guy was set. I even gave him my leatherman. I handed it to him and he was like "oh, ok" and tossed it down into the boat onto a counter without really understanding how incredibly significant my giving him my leatherman was. With me and my brother Tim our leathermans are our most important possessions. We use them for everything. Even slicing up sashimi. Tim even does that at sushi bars. For either of us to hand over our leatherman is like a soldier handing over his rifle during a low intensity firefight. That's about how important they are to us. When Tim moved the boat for Nick (Nick being unable to even start a brand new outboard (that was hysterical)) he took the leatherman back and now has it. Now I have this bad ass black oxide finish tactical wave that is just too bitchen for words. Anyway, when Mr. Can-do abandoned the boat my sleeping bag was still on it never to come back to my personage. So I got this new one that we'll see how it does tonight.

While the weather here in So-Cal continues to be it's normal awesomeness of sunny and 72 (21c) during the day it's been getting super cold at night especially in my room lately. It's been like fuckin' zero below in there and I've been freezing my balls off at night. Once morning rolls around and the temperature picks up a bit I sleep like a baby but I obviously wasn't sleeping too well in the cold temperatures. We'll see how well I sleep tonight in the arctic bag. biggrin
