Hello there.
Its april and spring is here in the uk. Spring is my favourite time of year and april is my favourite month. It like there is a sort of cloud that lifts after the eternal winter. I remember last December temperatures were at minus 15 in Sheffield and it was so very very cold. Colder than I can remember. So cold I could see myself breathe out when I made my tea in the morning, I had to live with my kettle by the bed.
Everything in april though is tinged with this sort of golden blue light, theres a mist in the air the morning but it feels magical and like a rebirth. Plus its the month of cheese toasties. I dont know why I eat them in april but its started about 6 years ago when I took an early morning walk around the village where my mom lives, when I got back I made toasted cheese sandwiches. And I guess I have done ever since. I always stay up til 4 in the morning and in april I can stay awake til the sun comes back again.
Life has been challenging and rewarding recently. Again im not sure why but after so long in the wilderness I feel I can finally do things for myself again and not for other people. Its hard to be selfish when ive been selfless for so long.
I dont really have much thats constructive to add. So happy april, enjoy it while it lasts, because its only here once a year.
