I read the FAQ here, I believe after some dolling up and some new photos, I'll be ready to take a stab at the application.

You know what I would like to see? Hips and thighs like they're meant to be. Real women have curves, dude! I may be a wee 5 foot 3, and I sure as hell will never in my life be called 'skinny', but you know what? I'm just as much a woman as any other, be them supermodels or modern-day pin-ups!! So I'm a bit squishy in the middle, what are you gonna do about it? Tell me? Like I don't look in the damn mirror every day?! Come on, tell me again, in case I missed your worthless remarks the first time - still don't change a thing about me, mentally or physically.

Not to go all Tyra Banks on anyone, but for the love of cheese (which I do), if there is meat on a girl's bones, GOOD FOR HER! There are more women out there with junk in the trunk and junk in a few other places as well, and anyone who thinks less of them, (men and women alike), is the one who needs to take a look at their own self-confidence - it's probably slippin' or long since lost.

Why is it ladies go to the stores and find most of the sizes between 8 and 14 gone? Because that is the size of a real woman...AND THERE IS NOTHING FUCKING WRONG WITH IT!!!

Picachu and I have made our case.
Nuff' said.

And those are the women who've never felt belittled for their weight, at least in the current cultural perspective of most Western societies.

The only criteria you need to fit to be a 'real' woman is to be born with a vagina. Sorry!

Even us tiny skinny girls are womanly. And we DO get belittled about our weight "Do you eat?" "God, being skinny is really ugly" "Real women have CURVES" "Are you annorexic?". These are all questions I've had thrown at me (or other skinny girls I know) by absolute strangers. I can't tell you the looks I get when I eat in public from other women, which totally perplexes me. There is a very anti-thin sentiment that's the 'in' thing at the moment, which is equally as bad as being anti those with a bigger build.

Read through any trashy women's magazine (although it might give you a headache and severely insult your intelligence) and read the total speculation over such and such a celebrity being 'too skinny' or annorexic or bulemic - only to find next week they've put on a pound or two and now they're overweight and a binge eater. The best recent example I remember hearing about was Keira Knightley's accusation of being annorexic. She's clearly just a small built girl and to suggest that she had a disease as serious as annorexia is really really dangerous.

Truth is, women on both sides of the weight spectrum get shit about how much they weigh. The sooner everyone realises that some people are just smaller and some bigger than the 'norm', the better. There is no competition and in reality there is no ideal that every woman should fit when it comes to her own weight. It's not a 'one size fits all' kind of thing. Like I said, some of us are just built small and others are just built bigger. As long as you feel healthy in your body and your weight isn't causing you health problems then there is no problem.

But it would be nice to see some more diversity (not for the sake of it) when it comes to models. x
