ok, got the bitchin' out of my system today, and i'm going to try to turn over a new leaf for december. usually, december succeeds in making me frustrated, disillusioned, and crazy, 'specially with all the xmas stuff going on...but i'm going to try so very hard not to be phased by it. the first holiday party this year happened this past weekend and it...

Thanks smile

I like
- that I do not have to hide my skin from the blistering sun, because finally, it's not TOO hot.
- friends randomly calling me out of the blue.

I dislike-
- being just feet away from major car accidents occurring around me.
- my laundry dryer not working, and then tripping up the stairs and really hurting my wrist.

*grumble grumble*

the roommate that lives downstairs used almost all the hot water this morning, so i had to shower in a lukewarm stream. there are so many things about him that i just want to kick his ass for, but i'm not allowed to. on top of that, the heat went out in our office building today, and the heater is just finally coming...

Happy Monday! Thanks for the bag list. Tee hee! You will notice that I didn't even mention the additional messenger bag that I sometimes carry as well, which holds my breakfast, lunch, water bottle, blah journal, paper organizer, whatever books I'm currently into (Tao of Pooh & Tao Te Ching right now), hats, gloves, etc. Sometimes I think I'm a little overprepared. whatever

Hope that you aren't still freezing. It's cloudy and grey here, not too cold, but the air is simply full of standing mist. I think I was a fern in a previous life, cause I love days like today. December is bound to be better than November, right? Here's to hoping so at least.

I agree with Dillenger. Please post pictures, especially of the kitties. Love the kitties! Even though I'm allergic as hell. Stupid, cute, lovable furballs.

smile

My spine is much happier now. Keeping supple fluidity is important for so many reasons. wink

Hope that you had a nice bok day, and that your fortunes change to a more positive groove, back in tune very soon.

Random acts of kindness are good. There aren't enough of them. I hope you have a better month coming up - and don't worry about whining, it's fun and productive biggrin

got things ironed out with the computer. going to start installing some games again. considering a rousing bout of Black & White for the evening. was going to go over to a friend's place tonight, but he was afraid i wouldn't be gone by the time his gf got home and then there would be a scene, etc...

which brings me to a little rant......

According to dictionary.com

grief n.
Deep mental anguish, as that arising from bereavement. See Synonyms at regret.
A source of deep mental anguish.

i'm not sure if it's all mental. it certainly doesn't feel like it's all mental. although my brain does feel rather removed and like it's denying something, particularly it's normal function of being somewhat witty and relatively smart. i've been having problems...

Whenever someone dies I'm the one my friends call. I think it's because I don't see death as a negative thing. In a way I see it as evolution, you know, if there were anything that could possibly transcend the act of evolving. I don't know if that makes any sense to you...just sharing my thoughts.

You are very welcome, as for the comment(s) I've made to you.

Death is a very complex thing so there is no easy way of dealing with it, still, I hope you're holding up okay. I also left you a post in GG.

i just finished reading 'The Bone People' by Keri Hulme. what an amazing book. it takes a bit to get used to, as it's written in a very choppy style, but it's so raw and emotionally charged. it's about a rich part-Maori (New Zealand native) woman who is estranged from her family and builds a tower on the coast to live out life by herself....

She's still a little edgy. Hasn't "bitten" me again but has done one or two "warning bites" where she just puts her teeth on me. As long as she doesn't have her teeth meet insie my flesh again I'm okay with it.

"but somewhere long ago it left me
the promised joys were arid nothings
the destiny was never proclaimed, and never fulfilled"
~ The Bone People - Keri Hulme

i've been dreaming more than normal lately. intricately woven tapestries of lucid thought; scents, sounds, feelings of panic, calm, confusion, passion, drifting on rivers of fluid tinged with turquoise chasing a white swan trying to save it...
