I'm so in love and over-protective-mother-instinctness right now. I brought home a tiny lovely friend on Saturday night. She (at least it appears to be a she) is furry, and squeaky, and the belle of the ball. Yes, in trying to re-live my pre teens, I went out and bought a hamster for the apartment. I would upload pictures, but I can't find a USB cable right now. The only drawback is that she appears to have some kind of cold (damn pet stores) which I'm having to coddle her over, but she's being a litte trooper. Happy me.
I finally have a friend at work. They've recently transfered in a 26-year-old girl from another branch and we seem to have hit it off. It's great to have someone around who isn't 40, a mother, engaged, married, or can only talk to me in the form of reminiscence. ex "I remember what that was like, but we didn't have things like colour television back then..."
