So there's a little loss of confidence there. Maybe more than a little, it's hard to tell. I'm still gettin' flashes of it, things don't change overnight. Mental habits formed long ago, I've got a fair amount of 'em in my favor. But the wallop my luck's taken lately is doin' it's damage whether I like it or not.
And that's the thing really, the thing I worry about. Most time it feels like a phase, a moment. A little character building down cycle in the ol' psyche rotation. I've been through 'em, I'll go through more, and frankly this ain't even the worst cluster that's ever hit me. But I worry about habits, and I worry about patterns, and though I don't worry about the long term I am definitely intimidated by the short. Or at least this time I am.
In other words, I ain't worried 'bout the destination, it's the journey that's on my mind.
So yeah, there's all that then.
