What a fucking awesome weekend.

Saturday
We went to the SGOC beach party at Balboa. It was great. The waves were big, which was a refreshing change from the anklebiters at Long Beach, since we've got the harbor and the breakwater and all. We roasted vegetarian "italian sausages" over the fire pit, and had great conversation. Jeremy and Joscelyne fell in the water. I took pictures.

The beach closed at 10, so a bunch of us came back up to Long Beach and went to Fern's. More great conversations, great drinks, great music. It was a blast.

After that, we stumbled back to our place. Shalome made nachos and we made a rule that nobody could eat nachos if they were wearing pants. The next time we have a party, there will be a sign on the door that will read "No pants beyond this point." Obd ate no nachos, and kept his pants on, as he was passed out on the couch already.

Sunday
Shalome and I have gotten into an awesome Sunday routine that involves us walking down to Long Beach Cafe, splitting a spinach and feta omelette with hash browns, and then going for a walk down around the marina. It's a nice long walk, and it leaves us feeling both energetic and relaxed for the rest of the day. Later, we went to see Batman Begins. We both enjoyed it greatly, and it was a great cap to a fantastic weekend.

Tomorrow, back to work. I have so much stuff to do it's crazy. It was nice to get away from it for a weekend.
