Little stupid things bother me and make me want to comment on articles, but not enough that i want to sign up for sites so i can comment on their articles. case in point: this article about film homages in the show Archer.

blah blah blah...the most visually identifiable film homages the show has produced over its three-plus seasons.

It's on season three, meaning it's got two-plus seasons, not "three-plus," because the third season hasn't finished yet. It's got three-minus seasons, if you're intent on making it three-something. But in the grand scheme of things, that's pretty inconsequential, so it doesn't really NEED to be said.

Edit: And I'm glad I didn't say that, because it's wrong. Archer just started season 4. I've been watching it, so I don't have any idea how my brain fumbled that one. Thanks to thefreak for setting me straight.

Most of these moments are more related to errors in editing: An LA Times story that includes the phrases "Alex Collins signed and faxed his letter intent to Arkansas" (letter of intent), and "She wanted her son to go to Miami so he could stay close to him." (Close to home? Close to her?). That sort of thing drives me bonkers. It's why I stopped reading LAist.com.

=========================================================

I created a web site last night (it's not launched yet). Nothing crazy, just a sort of random one-saucepan recipe generator.

=========================================================

I rode my bike to work once last week, rode it last weekend up the river trail with some friends, and then I crashed it and bloodied up my knee pretty good, and a tire blew out, and since I've been unable to ride it for a few days, I've been a little obsessed about finding upgrades for it, like it was a character in WoW or something, except that the "upgrades" cost lots of money, so I've just been window shopping for fancy things and only getting parts I actually need, like inner tubes, a light, a bag for my stuff, and a new rack for the bag. I want new wheels and a fancy leather seat, but I'm not allowing myself that sort of luxury until I've actually made a habit of riding my bike more than once a week.

=========================================================

There's other, bigger news that a few of you know already, but that's going to have to wait for a bit.

What song has been on your repeat list the most in the last week?

Ah, then I've misread your status line. It was the first thing to come to mind re: You not being the head of SGLA anymore.
