I still don't feel comfortable in Long Beach. I need to get off my ass and get settled in already so I can start being productive again. I've been slacking on exercising my visual creative side. I want to start painting again, but fuck if I can't just get settled in and feel comfortable in my space.
Comfort is not something I find easily these days.

Today is the birthday of one of my best friends. I'm going to a bbq at her place in a little bit, and then later tonight: san pedro, where drunken fun with some of the people from sgla awaits. They haven't seen me drunk yet, but I'm bringing plenty of cheap but drinkable tequila and good beer. Yeah, I'll be comfortable there. Muwahahahaha
------------------------------------
Time to go fold my 3 loads of laundry that I've been avoiding for the past few hours and head over to the bbq, where they had damn well better remember that I'm a vegetarian (as all of them are people who know me really well).
Wheeee!! Saturday Night!!!

I hope you recall where I'm really from. I know you must, since you described the exact concept that drove me out of LA in the first place, to head northward... the Baywatch factor. The plasticity of it all -- The Plasti-City.
I know you'd probably love it here, too. But then again I think EVERYONE should love the city I'm in love with.
I also agree on the point you made about "real" friends. The ones that can handle it when you come back.
For now, I've kind of given up on having chick friends. They suck way too much. And not in good ways like our hentai-monster friends.
Guys are just so much more low-maintenance.
Hm, now I know what to post for today. Thanks, bean.
Have a
