Y'know... this weekend was all right...
Nice homecoming for the Quannum crew on Saturday night. Lotsa love for the Bay Area from Shadow and the boys (and girl - Joyo Velarde was having a good time too).
Saw some friends at a barbecue today that I hadn't seen in years... Really great. There's something so great about seeing people who remember you as you were and can still be friends with who you are now... without judging or begrudging you for lost time and lack of communication.
I'll be the first to admit it. There was a time there when I was a pretty shitty friend. I was pretty absorbed and selfish for far too long. A real friend... a good friend... tells you, years later, that you were an asshole for doing that... and then hands you a beer.
And then I fell asleep on the patio while watching the Giants win in extra innings.
Yeah. Giants win baby. Took three of four from the Marlins. From the fucking Marlins. And this after taking two of three from the Braves. Life is good.
Death Cab tomorrow night at the Fillmore. I'm in such a good mood that it doesn't even bother me any more that they're opening for Ben Kweller and not the other way around.
Well, maybe just a little...

Yay Giants! Make sure you don't bring in a camera to the fillmore cuz they will take it from you....I guess it states it on the ticket but my dumbass didn't read it the last time I was there and got my camera taken and the cartridge was lost.
