I'm convinced. These guys are the best live act performing today.
Made an otherwise shitty evening (that's twice this week! I think she's trying to tell me something... nobody studies that much... do they?) pretty intense and pretty kick-ass. LCD Soundsystem were a bit of all right too.
And I dig The Independent too. Cool venue. Tiny bit smaller than GAMH, I think... but better sound. Hieroglyphics playing there Friday night, should be fun. Not for me though... Quannum show on Saturday and Death Cab on Monday... somewhere I need to find time for sleep.
Now would be good... can't afford another "sick" day.
My ears hurt.
Okay, never mind... I'll sleep later. Someone explain to me why Death Cab is opening for Ben Kweller and not the other way around? What the hell's going on here? That many people like this kid? I mean, DCfC headlined The Fillmore just this past November and that was with support from Nada Surf... now they're kicking things off for Kweller? Did I miss a memo? Kweller's new album sell a million copies its first month? He have a lot of relatives in town?
And if I leave early am I still getting my poster...?
