I just got back from Arizona. I was underwhelmed. Sorry... don't mean to offend anyone from the Valley of the Sun but, sheesh. I remember having a great time in Scottsdale back in high school during the Giants' Spring Training... and I guess I took the name "Cactus League" for granted... but good goddam there's a whole lotta nothing out there.

Whole lotta nothing apart from all the fucking cacti.



I had a good time. We all did. Ran the Rock and Roll marathon, although we didn't bother with the headliner concert on Sunday night. See, they make you register for the marathon months in advance and, although the entry fee includes a ticket to this big arena show later that night, they don't tell you who the main act is going to be until a few weeks prior to the run. Well, the big concert turned out to be Collective Fucking Soul.

Next time I'm picking the run... and we're going to Vancouver. So there.
