What companies are doing stuff that excites you?

It's time for a new job The hardware startup I've been with has unfortunately gone the way of most startups.

I've gotten spoiled by working for companies that were doing awesome stuff. Really, there's no other way to work. How else to do good work than to want to do it and want to keep at it 'til you get it right? So I'm figuring out which companies are doing stuff that excites me.

On the one hand, it would be great to refocus on programming, especially for something that used the hardware skills I've been working with recently. On the other hand, it would be great to do something in the game design space.

For now, I'm figuring out which companies, industry irrespective, that are doing really exciting stuff that I'd enjoy helping to build. MatterNet? Really exciting. Privateer Press? More than a little awesome. etc. etc..

So, which companies ya' think I should be considering? Bonus points for companies in The Bay. I do quite like it here.
