Edit: She meant between the different departments, you dear pervs.

Still... there's got to be a reason she used that phrasing as compared to any other possible combination of words.

The sad thing is, I retraced my comments and scanned my blog for anything to which you might have been referring, but I couldn't find it.

Back in LA and bloody exhausted. I owe moving karma like the federal government owes dollars, so I didn't ask for help yesterday with that. End result was piling 3/4 tonnes of stuff (yes, it was weighed) into the back of a UHaul by my lonesome. Today was all about airports and guinea pigs, and navigating one through the other.

It's something I almost wish I could always do alone, as it always alters my personality for the worse.

And when do you return to our fair city?

The temporary phone number is (818)209-4111
Expect it to last for a week or two until work provides me with my on-call leash in the form of a shiny new blackberry.

Edit to announce:
Orange-Orange Vitamin Water + Raspberry Emergen-C --> Raspberry sherbert water.

That's entirely possible.

Your costume ruled as well! We will have to do it again sometime before next year. I love to dance!

Phone died, Cingular warranty support didn't.
If I had your number before, you might want to message it to me again, as that's all been lost
I'll reply with the new number when I have it.
garagedelfuego:

Do you need a loaner phone? Is yours a sim chip type?

I've gotten two parking tickets in the past month, both for entirely made-up offenses. Since then, it's started to happen to other people in the neighborhood. Some friends ran into the officer on the ticketing rampage a few days back and asked him what was going on. He explained that about a month back, a strange car had shown up in the neighborhood, covered in...

We didn't get too much of a chance to gab.
And P has stated her openness for board gaming.
Consider yourself invited over.

Hope you have some careful good birthday fun, but I'm sure you've had lots of experience with Friday the 13th celebrations.

I'm back in LA, but those of you here won't be seeing much of me this visit. My grandfather passed away today; other than tomorrow's meeting, I expect I'll be a recluse until I've flown back for his funeral.

No condolences, please.

Grandfather Samuel had a good life.
He ran a successful business that he was able to pass down to his family.
He devoted...

Arrived in LA a day ahead of schedule. The weather was trying to wash away north Texas about the time I was thinking of (literally) pitching my tent so driving through the night became the order of the day.

Caught up with Aunt Nancy & Tony, who volunteered en route to put me up. Reminded how odd LA is. Their lawn is perfect; at 10:00am...

"In LA, it is illegal to be ugly."

Well said.

Thank you for your vote of confidence. I've never tried, of course, and I wouldn't know what it entails. Besides, I'm just an overeducated proletarian, surely not qualified to be enlisted into the ranks of the intelligentsia. At least until the purges come.

Ah, the purges . . .

I just got back from LA! It tried to destroy my spirit at almost every turn, with its traffic and its giant brush fires. And you seriously have my envy on the burning man journey. Next year, I declare! I will finally make it next year...
