I started writing notes for a game idea last Saturday, all day long. Today I spent the whole day scribbling more notes. Other than that, it's been 15 minutes here and there on the train each day.
Right now I've got more than 15,000 words of notes on the game. That's almost a third of a novel worth of words, according to the folks at...

I have met Gitane in person and she's not only geeky, clever and pretty, but has a great sense of humour as well.

A great video, thank you for sharing.
Hell, I didn't even know that NASA is underfunded. I always thought that Americans would be too proud of their achievements and their progress to ever make such a mistake.
By the way, my brother claims that the owl look evil. Not even serious, but evil.

Every year, on February 14th, millions of chocolates will find a loving home in someone's tummy. But millions more will be abandoned, marked half-down in chocolate shops, unloved, abandoned.
Today, my friends, is Discount Chocolate Day.
Today is their day. It's time for all of us to step up and make room in our hearts and our bellies for this abandoned confection. Please, think of...

To thank you for your kindness will sound so trite - but eventually that's what I wanna do. Thank you so much, it's always so delightful to read one of your comments.

Just found out my college roomie is making music under the name "Anoura"
How she chose her musician name: "Anoura" is the genus of frogs.
I have the best nerdy friends.

Thanks.
On the train ride into town, there was a shout. A kid bolted for the train door. Others grabbed him. It took slow-motion seconds for it to filter in: He'd tried to grab a woman's phone and dart off the train right as the doors were closing. Someone grabbed him. He slipped out, but was outnumbered by other guys trying to stop him from getting...

There's a confounding conundrum swirling around that vignette, so thanks. I can go back and forth between poor bastard and poor us, foraging in some societal minefield.

The costumes are cool too.
And why would you call a girl a toaster? You really want some turnip shampoo in your coffee, don't you?

They're definitely too sweet. Most desserts are. That's part of what this personal project is about: creating items that change a person's idea of what dessert is. Wagashi is an apt starting point because of its form factor and its philosophy of appealing to all five senses. Imagine a small item, perhaps slightly larger than the typical tea sweet, that is built with the same flavor complexity as a fully-plated, deconstructed-style dessert from a top restaurant but delivered in only one or two bites and for purchase with your evening coffee at the local independent shop. That's the basic idea.

Gods know I would THRIVE in a program that intense! I have always adored learning and just can't stop myself from devouring more and more of this language. I only hope that, when speaking it, I will do it justice. And who knows? maybe someday I will be able to make it to UC Berkeley?
Uh oh, you said the b-word.
