I have had the best week in quite a while.
Work was just awesome. I had an interview for a job I really don't want but it would be a great opportunity. The job is a C2C Database Administrrator. It would be a change from the Analyst role I do now but it would get my foot in the door of COS/ITA. That role would be a LOT more portable if I were to leave my company than being an Analyst. Who knows.
I hate telephone interviews with a passion but I've done a couple of them now and all of these people read off of the same question script so I'm getting pretty good with answering the same questions.
So a buddy of mine that I haven't spoken to in about a year or so called me out of the blue the other day. I love Tom and his wife. These are two of the coolest, most down to earth people you will ever meet. Well, I ask him what he's been up to and he tells me he's a tattoo artist now and works in a shop down the road from me. Oh fuck! Looks like I'm getting some ink!
I've been going over and hanging with him for the past couple of days after work. It is so cool to talk to someone from my past who isn't all fukked up and sad sack still. We have the same old friends and can reminisce but we can also go off on tangents and have great intellectually stimulating conversations. His wife swung by the shop tonight and I just adore her as well.
She is just too cool. They want to hook me up with a friend of theirs but I don't know about it. She some sorta psychic/witch. She has all kinds of powders and potions all over her house. I am so not into that whole scene but Tom's wife kept saying, "But she LOVES to fuck!!"
Can't argue with that I guess. :-0
