Well, I missed the RocK On The Range Concert this weekend. This trip to Colombia better be worth it. I was passing by the stadium Sunday night when I heard Soundgarden playing and I could feel that stinging in the eyes... BUSH! I fucking missed Bush!
So, I leave this Saturday for Colombia. I'm going to have a layover a few hours long, in Panama. The idea occurred to me, to go out like to the baggage claim, then come back in... you know, get an extra stamp on in my passport, since I have the time. Who knows? Still walking around with "The knife." Fun stuff.
It's funny that everyone thinks I'm going to go down there and then not come back. For whatever reason. A lot of people think I'm just going to go down there and blow it out Leaving Las Vegas style... then again, I probably shouldn't answer with "Plant my face in a mountain of coke like Tony Montana." when asked what I plan to do down there. Just saying.
It's official, I have one last week of my twenties left. I turn 30 next Wednesday. Whoopty whoo. As a very young kid, I always imagined that I'd be young and beautiful forever. Say what you will, but still. So, I suppose a lot of anxiety about turning 30 centers around the absolute death of that dream. Also, I've kind of been going through the existential "What the fuck have you been doing with your life?" BS the last few months as well. I don't know...
How is it that I haven't heard this song in ten years, but I've heard it seriously three times today?

h yea, so the party event last Saturday. I'd LOVE to say that I have all kinds of photos to share, but alas, I have none. I even took my newer point and shoot one... but nobody would take my photo. An event full of photographers and models... yet nobody. I looked pretty cool too. I actually didn't go with what I'd thought I would. I was told by my friend that was also going, that I'd fit in way too much. So, I had a white button up shirt and some decent shoes instead of sneakers. Haha, I needed to feel comfortable, yea? It's funny, I was going down the street and I had the outfit on and my sunroof open, getting stares the whole way up High Street. Apparently, seeing a tall guy that looks white, in a tuxedo jacket while driving a Jag is not an uncommon sight... seeing him rock out to THIS song is:
After the event, I was with a group of seven (One of which is a photographer with his own company and hopefully a future employer) and we ended up at a Scotch?Whiskey bar restaurant downtown called Manifesto. Having been here before, if I had a secret lair... it would look like this place. So, on a Saturday night at a little after midnight, the eight of us get there... and there's NOBODY there. We're seriously the only customers. I fucking loved it. It kind of added to the whole appeal of the place. Then again, I have a fixation for having things to myself or my group. Like when I go to the movie theatre, or even once when some friends and I went snowboarding on a day the news advised against it... and it cleared up right before we got there, so we got the whole mountain to ourselves. So, an entire downtown restaurant on a Saturday night? You betcha.
The only problem I had on Saturday, was probably my hair. It started to get hot and true to form, poofiness abound. It sucked so much balls. So, today, I took care of that. I went to one of those posh places and had an actual haircut. There was soooo much hair left on the floor afterwards. I'd actually met the owner at the event on Saturday and he fit me in this week... so that I don't go to Colombia looking like a jackass.
So last night, I felt for some reason compelled to watch The Host. Not really sure why, as I'd never seen the previews, but I digress. My point is, that 32 seconds into the movie, it was already beginning to annoy me... then I realized that it may just be that I have a bias against Stephanie Meyer. Anyhow, they probably could have shaved off an entire 30 minutes of the movie and it'd been a lot more watchable. I don't NEED to see the girl walking silently from one place to another... just show her in the new room and I'll draw my own conclusions. I remember thinking "Man, this movie's probably on the back half already... good stuff." So I checked how long it had left. An hour and a half!!! Also, it got to a point in which it really just seemed like Twilight: SciFi Edition, with this love triangle BS. So, thought I'd share that.
Oh, to cap this off, I actually had an interview of sorts a couple days ago. I stopped by this eyeglass factory, where they pop the lenses into the frames and to put in an application and was interviewed. Hopefully, something will come of this, as I need funding for my next move. The thing that sucks is that it's twelve hour shifts from noon to midnight on weekdays. Whatever it takes, yea?

Thanks for the reply on my blog a while ago. I always look forward to your insight on those sorts of things. No crushes will be moving in with me. To many potential problems there. As for my ex and current friend who knows. Ill be conflicted for a while. Thanks though.
