Well, I did recognise that being a hermit has spared me from acquiring any new parasitic friends. I know how horribly cynical that is to say, but at least it's a step towards optimism, right?

I think I could accept it more gracefully if I were happier with myself, but then again, that could simply be another excuse. Tell me about these perks I'm not seeing....
