i finished at the bar a couple hours ago and i'm happy to be home. it's been a good day. i had my evaluation for my light green sash; and i passed. it was hard. my last two evaluations weren't so bad actually, but this was a true test. my sifu demanded everyting from me that i've learned from the beginning. i knew the material, but the physical demand was almost unbearable. i got through and i am now one level higher than i was this morning. i felt like crying for some reason, but insteaed i held my head high... like royalty... and i smiled... that sounds so silly, but i was so charged. i was forced, however, to be still and meditate after my test. while i was sitting there, with my eyes closed and my breathing my only friend, i was overwhelmed by emotion. i knew i did well(i was very prepared), but i was still so anxious. i'm very proud of what i've done...so to celebrate i went to work and tended bar all night. not to worry though...i had a flask of whiskey and plenty of room to guzzle. not very kung fu? in the words of Ian mcKaye.."what the fuck have you done"
