My pics were denied...even for member review. I was told that I was super cute, but my pics weren't up to the standard. I'm not even sure what that means.
I'm getting really frustrated. I don't know what I need to do to make my pics up to standard...For 5 years now, I've been trying to get on this site, only lead by vague comments. I'm starting to feel incredibling regected and lame.
My photographer took one other set (which I didn't think turned out as good, but we'll see). I'll weed through those and submit them...I guess we'll see...
On top of that, my eye has been swollen for the last 2 days...don't know why. And my asshole boss told me that if I take off for the vacation I have planned for the holidays, I may not have a job when I get back. Me or my bf. We requested the time off months ago. My parents already made reservations and bought plane tickets for the whole family to spend Christmas in San Diego. (non-refunadable plane tickets) We are gonna be gone for 10 days...aparently, anything over a week, you have to apply for re-hire, with no guarantee of a job. Guess I'll be looking for a new job after Christmas.

Sounds like you are having one heck of a week -- hope your job situation works out. Would love to see the set(s) you shot and would definitetly give you candid feedback on "the standard" for what it's worth. I'm not a model by any means, but I am an artist who has been rejected many times by people/academics/critics who "don't get" my work. I know it's tough to keep moving forward with something in the face of "NO" but knowing you also sing, just think of the SG judges as a "tough audience" -- you're aready exploring other venues with your whole burlesque situation. So here's hoping the rest of your week gets better and post those sets if you can!
