So in this now admittedly embarrassing obsession with Scott Pilgrim, I can add two more things I have gone out of my way to do to see the film again and see Edgar Wright and the stars.
On Monday I went to a screening of the flick at the Egyptian Theater, it was moderated by Guillermo Del Toro and had a Q&A by Edgar Wright,...

So I have now watched the first episode of Frank Darabont's The Walking Dead twice, and fuck do I love it. It's interesting cause it creates an effect for me very similar to the first time I watched Unforgiven.
I'm a massive Western fan, so when I saw Unforgiven for the first time it was really quite amazing, because it challenged the ideas of Western...

I think when the man is trying to will himself to shoot his zombified wife to spare his son the pan of seeing her all the time was the big scene for me. I liked how they fleshed those characters out from their brief apperances in the book, and really like where it looks like this show is going.

It was indeed intense and pretty moving, just goes to show what can happen when you take source material seriously. I just saw that it drew 5.3 million viewers the best ever for AMC, so that's good news there.
Glad to hear you've voted, I'll get that done tomorrow, and you're right it is one of our best rights.

The Walking Dead is fucking awesome!!!
That's all for now.

I am quite bored, there are no more zombie for me to kill and my friends are gone doing whatever it is people who do things do.
It's okay though, cause all will be well come tomorrow night. At midnight tomorrow I attend my first midnight screening of Tommy Wiseau's The Room. I am so excited, I got my plastic spoons all set and ready...

How does it happen that I go 20 years into my life without ever having a girlfriend. Then I finally work up the nerves to ask someone out, and she says yes, BUT now I get drama before even having the first date?
Seriously, why?

Oh I am haha. I'm enjoying the hell out of not having any real responsibilities to worry about for a few days. I spaced out the house cleaning over a couple days, so even that wasn't all that strenuous. It's just now 3:00 on the second day and I'm already done. Now I have nothing to worry about all weekend til I pay off my phone bill. I've been rewatching Buffy since I've pretty much watched every movie I own already.

Film School.
The prospect of that scares and excites me. I've started talking to someone at a potential film school I may attend in Ventura, and it's very exciting. At the same time though, I'm the guy who has lived with his parents all his life and is still pretty much completely dependent on them. I'm also horrifyingly afraid of them. As far as their...

I know it's clich but you can really only live your life for yourself; if you try to make all your decisions with the intention of pleasing others, you'll ultimately end up feeling very displeased with yourself. I'm certainly not saying that displeasing others to fulfill your own dreams is easy, but ultimately you have to be happy with yourself. If film is your direction in life, you've gotta pursue it.
If your parents won't support you, there are other options. Loans, scholarships, night shift work. It's lovely if one's parents will support (emotionally and financially) you, but it's certainly not a requirement.
Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

Has anybody out there ever seen Skins? Well if you like it then please ignore this post.
Yesterday I decided to try that show out. My friend recommended it to me, and I figured, why the hell not, she has pretty similar tastes in film and tv as I do. So it's on Netflix Instant Stream, so I start up the first episode.

You really should have watched more than one episode. (I know the first one was hard to get through, I didn't even like the first episode, but after Tony got hit by a bus the show got so much better.)
So the screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World at the New Beverly Cinema was amazing.
I was expecting just a few guests and really really hoping Edgar Wright would show up. How badly did I want him to show up? I would do horrible horrible things to meet him. Unforgivable things.
So we get there and around midnight they let us in. The lady...

I'm not a big fan of Scott Pilgrim but even I gotta admit that whole night sounded epic.

THANKYOU SO MUCH!

So I was talking to my friend earlier, and she often tells me about this boyfriend, and that boyfriend, but then I found out something, she's only been on ONE date.
What?
I could not understand how that was possible. As she explains it, just because you have a boyfriend doesn't mean you dates. She said, they would do stuff, but it was usually just...

haha ok. sounds like a plan to me. I might not be able to make it out there next summer after all though, the money for my plane tickets might end up going to fund my impending medical bills instead.
Worst case scenario, I WILL be at sdcc 2012, and I might just have to come out to your area another time instead.
tallahassee:
aw, well I'd really appreciate that.
I really really really want to go, it's just a matter of financially being able to make it happen or not. If all of these medical expenses hadn't happened so close to Christmas, I could've made it happen, but at this point it's not looking likely. :/
Yeah, yup, it happened. I am so totally smitten and shit.
This is the forth night now I've stayed up talking to her for hours. It's quite fantastic.
Of course, as is the way life is for me, she lives quite a way aways. Thus is life, oh well time to take nature's ambien.
In other news, my notes on movies is back up and...

It's not often I meet a female who is able to keep up with my more absurd conversations. In fact she's kinda kicking my ass. I may be just a bit smitten. It's like in Freaks And Geeks, when Ken meets someone whose a bigger smartass than him and he falls for her.
What an interesting development this is.

I'm probably fine, as long as I don't fail anything else for the rest of the semester. It doesn't really help that I was already failing before the test. :/ Right now, my major is microbiology, but if I don't catch up in this class pretty soon I'm going to have to switch back to psychology.
(had to do it! XP)
