I was told there'd be cake - Sloane Crosley.
A collection of essay by the author, a sort of auto-biography. I think the idea of putting together a collection of essays, you've already written anyway, is a great idea. This author has a very illustrative voice and I feel that if I met her in person, I could hold my own in knowing about her past 20+ yrs of life. She is extremely amusing, about all of her experiences, including a spinal tap, collection of ponies and duty as a maid of honor. I would recommend this book to busy people and anyone who likes living in another body for a while. The essays make it a great pick up and go - because after 10 pages you wont lose count of what characters are doing what and when.
