Mescal is usually the stuff with the worm in it. Tequila is a type of Mescal. Mescal is any distilled spirit made from agave. Tequila is made from blue agave and is generally only named Tequila if the blue agave is grown in certain regions of Mexico, primarily the outskirts of the city named Tequila. The worm found in Mescal is the Agave worm which is a butterfly larva. Anyway, some information to occupy your sick time.

hahahaha! what's awesome is that i've been to a tequila factory or two (i like to get my tan on in mexico), but i don't remember any of that shit. why? because tequila factories usually give free shots to do tastings. haha!
