I really need a new profile picture. The one I'm currently using here (and on Facebook) was never great, and now it's about five years old it doesn't reflect my current hairstyle or facial piercings. Particularly seeing as I'm thinking of giving online dating apps a try again, I really need an updated photo.
Trouble is, getting a photo that is a. recent, b. an accurate representation of what I look like, and c. not fucking horrible seems to be nearly impossible. It's not just that I'm ugly, either (although that doesn't help). Every time I try to take a photo, or even if someone else happens to be taking a photo and I'm in it, I always seem to end up in a strange, awkward pose or with a weird, uncomfortable expression on my face.
I've never been photogenic as such, but I'm sure I used to be better able to take a good photograph than this. But somehow, as time goes on, not only do I get uglier, but I get increasingly unable to take a photo that doesn't make me look even worse than I do in real life.
