A mutual friend of mine and my best friend in my old city, that lived in my old apartment building on the same floor mentioned something interesting slash pretty annoying; which Chris (my friend) mentioned to me.
Apparently, years ago I was "temporary" for my ex, Maegan. I must admit, we're 6 months apart now and that doesn't sting like it would've 2 years ago when he was told by her. 2 years! Clearly, my instincts on the relationship were spot on. It started to dissolve our first summer together, when she was a super cunt for like 2 months towards me prior to any of my anxiety issues even appearing in the relationship. I was just stunned at the time, and she eventually apologized; but at that point my wariness was set.
Over the course of the relationship, there was always an issue of honesty on her part. She'd tell a lie; and later on tell another that contradicted the first. I never pointed this out. I just lost my trust of her.
Being "temporary" makes everything fit.
It also makes me a super dumbass for not breaking things off when I thought I should. I decided to see if she'd mature. I'd often mention to Chris that I was "waiting this out". It never happened.
I did feel temporary. I felt like a tag along.
I fixed her life, and helped get her into a second year of med lab tech with more support than I've ever been shown by anyone in my life 'cause I loved her with my complete heart. When we met, she was working at a subway. When we split, I had been paying for all bills for 2 years so she could be a full time student. I was used.
I wasted 3 prime years of my life supporting an immature girl who lied.
