Haha, no worries.
I just used a studio flash on the right of the model with a diffusser square pannel, very simple.
As for finding a happy balance with those pics, just do a white balance white in RAW! It works for me pretty much all the time.

Haha I know I have the same problem. Sometimes I have very clear that I want to have a pic well white-balanced, but others I spend hours touching up the colours until I like it.
I prefer the second bluish pic, I always prefer cold tones.

I got the d90 today!!! i'm still getting my head around it all even though its similar layout to my d40x its soo different at the same time!! I've never worked with raw files before how does it work? Do i just shoot it and edit them on cs3 then save them as jpeg?? i've read so much and tried it but couldn't work it out!

90% of the ppl in my class never used a Mac, and all the photoLab computers are Macs (of course)
soooo we spent the first 3 hours learning how to turn it on and make a new folder on the desktop..
YAY!!
hahaha it was fun though, and the student to teacher ratio is great.

Dude, I have hardly ever used a mac either (a little, but not much)... and VCU definitely uses macs. So I guess I will be one of those students...
