Her eyes

bleed on a plate,

but it does not appease

the bitter cold,

and the hunger

that consumes

my body,

and shortens

my breath

but it doesn’t scare me.

The flames of the white candles

resting on her crown

warm my flesh,

and the light of the sun

that follows her path,

brings my soul

into the infinity of Paradise.

Poem (C): Me

I suoi occhi

sanguinano su un piatto,

ma questo non placa

il freddo pungente,

e la fame che consuma

Il mio corpo,

e accorcia il mio respiro

che si disperde nell’aria,

ma non mi spaventa.

Le fiamme delle candide candele

posate sulla sua corona

riscaldano le miei carni,

E la luce del sole

che segue il suo cammino,

Porta la mia anima

nell’infinità del Paradiso....

The red light

inflames

the forest

under the rays

of the setting sun.

Without waiting

for the night

the ghosts

wander among

the trees,

and the ravenous wolves

follow them

along the way,

emptied from the life

and with the cold eyes

and the cold skin.

Poem (C): Me

“Three Women and Three Wolves" (1900) (C): Eugène Grasset

La luce rossa

infiamma

la foresta

sotto i raggi

del sole calante.

Senza aspettare

la notte

gli spettri

vagano tra gli alberi,

e i lupi famelici

li seguono

lungo il cammino,

svuotati dalla vita

e con gli occhi

e la pelle fredda.
