*pant*pant*wheeze* wait up, guys, i'm still here! how are y'all?

my computer is still wacky, but sometimes usable.

so my favorite thing right now is a Family Circle magazine from 1964 that i saw at my friend pam's house last weekend. god, i just couldn't take my eyes off the photos: absurdly tight shots of meatballs being basted with gummy red sauce, vegetables suspended in a dome of quivering green jello, beef slabs perched atop a pedestal of barbequed chicken legs. every plate was filled to the edge, piled high with a mound of food, and bathed in that pinky-orange sheen that you always see in those old magazine photos. revolting! but delightful.
