I didn't think I could do it, but I blocked off an entire week, nothing on the calendar, to hit the deadline for the sequel to Echo and the Sea and tonight, seven days and 36,000 words later, the draft is done.
I feel like I'm living in one of those memes like "Sex is great, but have you tried finishing your novel?"
No rest for the wicked, though. I have five (FIVE) books coming up on second editions I need to approve the prints and covers for. Was hoping I could take a break and, I dunno, maybe play Red Dead Redemption 2 or something, but... seriously guys, if you're a writer and you don't have a seven figure advance from a publisher, it's relentless. No rest indeed.
