So, two years as of yesterday since I joined the site. It's been a heck of a time. I got my first ignore sometime recently. I just noticed it a couple days ago. It feels pretty good. It's a guy that a lot of you have on your friend lists, but who I think is a real idiot. Someone who thinks he's smart just because...

Leaves are nice. Did I mention I swam with manatees at work today ?
I heard you had frost already !! I am not jealous.

I can't wait to get back up there some time. I can't believe it's been almost three years.
So lame. frown

Big smile for you and the Missus. smile

The new place is pretty nice. I'm looking forward to getting settled. It's been a regular goat rodeo trying to move me. Maybe another week or two I'll have things fairly well in order. But I'll probably be living out of boxes for the next six months.
Man, the yearly moving would kill me.

Foliage, you say? Hmm, maybe I should take some pics for the people that don't have the chance to see it for themselves. Thanks for the idea. biggrin

I think I'm slowly getting used to the planes.

At this rate by the time I move I'll be missing the sound. Haha.

Okay, okay, okay. I said I'd update once I got back from my trip, but what I didn't realize was that classes started just about the day I got back. And I know I said there might be pictures, but what I didn't realize was that I have no idea where the cord that connects my camera to my computer is. Don't worry, there weren't...

I'm in the 'Metropolitan Lounge' at the Chicago train station. Getting the sleeper car for the first leg of the journey out to Portland is really paying dividends. More later.

I'm leaving next Thursday to take the train out to Oregon, pick up my fiance's car, and drive it back to Vermont. I'm pretty excited. It's going to be a couple weeks of just being on the road. I love being on the road. No responsibilities other than getting from here to there without killing yourself or anyone else. It kind of bums me out...

A couple friends of mine from college are living in my hometown this summer. We used to have saki night every Thursday and have decided to revive the tradition. I think maybe I should refrain from the CE boards on saki night.

I haven't updated in a while. This isn't much of an update, but I just bought a record player and am very excited. I've been playing records I haven't heard in a long, long time. Some old Gordon Bok, some Fugs, some Bob Dylan that I could have bought on CD but never did. Exciting.

That was an awesome depiction of the way a nephrolith FEELS.

I think I might rather face the Beast that at one time surrounded that skull than endure another nephrolith. Incidentally, Nephro- = kidney, and -Lith = stone.

I can already tell you, I feel amazing! After only a couple of weeks. I say go for it!

I forgot to mention, when I was down in St. Thomas my dad and I went to Friday services at the synagogue down there. It's the oldest continuously operating synagogue in the Western hemisphere and it's a pretty amazing place. The Rabbi is your typical New England reformed Rabbi. He moved down a couple years ago from New Hampshire. His sermons are half jokes and...

Oh that's for the link, I'll read that this weekend! Yes I love Max Ernst, I have the surrealistic novel Une Semaine De Bonte and some other books but I would love to see more of the paintings in the flesh as it were. We have some smaller pieces and drawings in the gallery here but that's about all I've seen.

The last three weeks have been fun. I left on the 26th and spent two weeks down in St. Thomas. It was a hell of a good time. I got wicked sunburned snorkeling on my second day down there, so I was kind of incapacitated for a couple days after that, but other than that it was all gravy. I met Chainlink down there, my...
