I don't know if I have mentioned this on here before or not, but I LOVE bars. I haven't had a drop of alcohol in about 10 years now, but I still love me some bars. Tonight was a prime example of why.
I haven't really been out on a busy bar night since I left philly. I mean, I have been out to the bar or club a bunch of times since being home, but never on a big night, always just on some random night. Well tonight just happens to be one of the biggest bar nights of the year. I didnt know that. I had the nothing to do because I have the night off the kids I usually hang with were all busy, and my parents already left for the weekend (down to NJ for the holiday) So I decided to do the only thing that made sense and hit a bar. After a few calls, I figured out where the crew(that werent being pussies) were going to be, and headed out.
I swear, I felt like Norm walking into Cheers. I dont even go to this bar very often. It just seems like I knew every single person there. I also totally saw at least 5 people that I havent seen since before I moved to philly. That was like 4 years ago. There was a lot of catching up and a lot of random craziness. Needless to say, I had an amazing time.
Also, I saw a girl that I had a kind of big thing for before I moved and didnt think I would ever see again. Awesomly, she was just as excited to see me as I was to see her. We exchanged numbers. Perhaps some good will actually come of this moving back to NY thing.
Also, I made this today.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, fuckers.
