Decisions, decisions. After my mom's Catholic Choral Recital, should I:
(1) stay at home and drink coffee and play scrabble with my sister?
(2) go to some crappy, sanitized coffee house to drink coffee and play scrabble with my sister?
(3) go downtown with my sister and drink and dance and what not?
or (4) go out on my own and get filthy drunk and dance the night away?
On a completely different note, I went to the Melbourne Zoo with my sister and two of her kids. Reminded me of how I can enjoy and hate those places at the same time. One area had this tower or something where you could feed the giraffes so they would walk up right up to you and you could pet them and what not. Then at another exhibit, I saw Rheas going crazy and biting at the fences and wandering aimlessly.
Then on the drive back, the symmetry of flea market parking lots and power lines stretched between the horizons drove me a little nuts too.

And playing by ear is always cool. (Well, from my point of view it is...)
