I haven't been on the site too much, lately... Which is a shame. I really miss some of you sweet people!
Today, I'll try to make your day by, euh, sharing some of my favourite tunes. Actually, all of these songs could be introduced by a lot of emotions and excitement from my side :p This is what makes or breaks my day.
1) Blonde Redhead - Messenger
I started listening to them in my early twenties, and still love them. I've seen them live a several time, and their gigs where (luckily) also about the best I've ever seen... Love for Blonde Redhead!
2) I didn't know if I had to choose a song from Antony Hagarty, or maybe Robert Wyatt... But you know what, a few years ago, British duo The Unthanks came with an awesome cover album, songs from both Robert Wyatt and Antony. For now, I'll choose there version of Sea Song.
But it's an unfair choice. I could easily go for an Antony-song. Lake song. Anything from "I'm a bird now"...
3) Yo La Tengo - Pass The Hatchet, I Think I’m Goodkind
This is a great instrumental. Reminds me of the earliest Pink Floyd, or post-rock on it's best. And (again) great live-performances through the years.
4) Keaton Henson - any song will fit.
It was difficult for me to choose between Julie Doiron, Richard Hawley, and several others, but I guess it's mostly this bearded man with a chronical broken heart.
5) Lapsley - Painter
Because she's awesome.
So in the end, I can only realise I don't have enough spots to fit all of my favourites. Sonic Youth, The Do, Hannah Cohen (she's coming to Belgium, finally. Haha I invited her for a coffee and she said "yes" :) ), Midlake, The Veils, Soley, Soap&Skin, Rhye and so on.
The was also a homework-topic about our favourite games. I do play some games from time to time, but at the moment, going to school absorbs most of my time. But between taking care of people, studying some anatomy and DSM-V, there's always some time for 20 minutes of Fifa 2015 and Child of Light. It's a Canadian game. It's pure art. Give it a chance!
Kisses to all of you!
Ok, and a little shout out about my favourite set of 2015 this far... Hello @Gogo xx
Little drop of poison by @Puffin.
