One more creepy fan blog, because next to last weeks @jupiter there's another astonishing talent I want to talk about a bit.
In the last 10-15 years, I learned a lot about photography. Studied my basics, practised my tools. Photography, as a for of art, that allows me, to take a grip on what we see. Also photography, that alters reality through the eye of the photographer. It's why (British based) David Hamilton is one of my all time favourites. It can really touch me, to experience the way he sees colours, and beauty in general.
Yesterday, a beautiful set from @GABRIELAMO went live. It's unfair to compare you with my favourite photographer ever. But it safe to say you revoke about the same emotions. It feels like both of you share some senses of an incredible love for beauty, art and light. With elements of romance, softness. Working with what comes your way: the light, girls, and places you hang around. But seen through completely different eyes, a different prospective, a different background. And both looking in your own way at the young and the beautiful.
For me, pictures like this, it's a bit all from what I love in photography, brought together in a single photo. Drama created by elements of clair-obscur; a timeless stunning image! Perfect styling, beautiful colours. Really, Gabriela, this is poetry in a few megapixels!
What I like about your photography is the honest approach, but also the way you show in so many details that you're not only shooting a beautiful girl, time after time you succeed in showing how *you*, as a photographer, love and see that inner (and outer ;) ) beauty you're surrounded with. It's a bit sad these amazing sets don't make it that easy to the frontpage...
So yeah, on days I have not too much planned, there's nothing more I could wish for than browsing this kind of pictures, also on your WEBSITE ;) Where I found stuff like this. Again: the use of light, the way you work with 'lines', the way you create space, and all emotions you share with your model... amazing!
Of course I can't continue without mentioning one of my favourite-but-unfortunately-not-always-too-active hopefuls.
I love the mysterie, again the fabulous use of light, space and dept. And I absolutely love @mayza too! She looks so vulnerable... And damn, <3 redheads! :) So yep, another redhead to go pink?
